In the mid-Nineties, Steve Stockstill launched a part-time software development consultancy, while keeping his day job as a Software Engineer in Silicon Valley, and subsequently as Software Engineer and Development Manager for Time Matters/LexisNexis. That part-time consulting enterprise grew up to be Data Equity LLC, headquartered in the heart of North Carolina's Research Triangle Park.
Over the years, Steve discovered a growing disconnect between software applications and users: Users often struggled to capture and interpret data in a meaningful way.
